    King Abdullah scholarship program seeks to meet market needs of capable national cadres
     
    The program has proven the excellence and ability of Saudi student in attaining highest scientific levels
     
    Failure amount in the scholarship does not exceed 5%

     
    Throughout Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Cultural Mission meeting last Sunday
     
     

    Asharqia Chamber received last Sunday 13th March, 2011, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Cultural Missions Affairs Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al- Mousa, where he met with a  number of businessmen and businesswomen and Human Recourses officials  in the Chamber headquarter.

    This meeting comes as an extension of the cooperation between the Asharqia Chamber and the Ministry of Higher Education and the chamber  role in supporting  the efforts in providing  job opportunities for Saudi citizens and meet the business needs of qualified national cadres.
     
    In this regard said Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel that the meeting is considering several issues of the private sector taking advantage of the various disciplines for graduates scholarship program, and the suitability of it with the output of the Saudi  market..
    Adding that this meeting  will provide an opportunity to overlook the business  sector needs of these disciplines, and its role in attracting and recruiting those graduates as well.
     
    Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Cultural Mission Dr.Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Mousa who has ensured the Ministry's keenness on the scholarship program  of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz assuring its compatibility with the needs of the local labor market, and looks forward to private sector as well to identify programs and disciplines needed, in which directing Saudi students to obtain higher grades and levels.
     

    Al-Mousa throughout his speech to a number  of businessmen in Asharqia Chamber on Sunday, 13th March, 2011 explained the program's message in " Development and preparation of Saudi human resources and rehabilitation effectively in order to become internationally competitive in the labor market.

    And on the (Vision) according to Al-Mousa is  " Preparing knowledgeable society based on the knowledge economy by valuing education" .. pointing out to the number of the scholarship program exceeding 106 thousand students where 40 thousand of them are studying in the best international university, a strong  indicator of the scientific level in which the program which seeks to attain.

    Al-Mousa added that the most important goals of the program are: "Scholarships of national Saudi cadres to study in the best universities in various countries around the world in special disciplines needed by the Saudi market such as: medicine, engineering, computer science, law, and management disciplines.
     
    Referring that the total number of students on scholarships in the range of (106 065 students), .. 30% of studying in the United States followed by the United Kingdom by 15% and Canada 11%Australia 8%, Egypt 6%
    He stated that according to UNESCO statistics for the year 2009, the number of students enrolled in registered in higher education abroad about (2.8 million) students, an annual growth rate up to 5%.

    And on the impact of King Abdullah abroad Scholarship program  said that countries that have been included in this scholarship program is almost (25) arrived to new countries such as China, Japan and South Korea,European countries such as New Netherlands, Sweden and Hungary.

    Also that the ministry had sent a group of students to India to study information technology in some developed universities there.
     
    Above all; Al Wabel noted that Asharqia Chamber due to its role as  a representative of the private sector, and an embracing of all institutions and private companies is looking forward to seeing those graduates  taken its position within the institutions of the private sector, especially large companies, to employ our main goal of Saudization, hoping to serve our country and our national economy.
